News brought by Inskeep Ford:
2012 Ford Focus rated at 38 mpg on the highway

USA Today Online 03/02/2011 -- By David Thomas / Cars.com and Fred Meier
Ford announced today the government fuel-economy ratings for the rest of the Focus lineup, which goes on sale this month. It announced the rating for the extra-cost high efficiency Focus last week... But the regular models with automatic transmission models, which most buyers will take, have been EPA-rated at 28 mpg in the city, 38 on the highway and 31 in combined city-highway use... The manual transmission models may be more fun, but also will use more gas: They are rated 26 city, 36 highway and 30 combined.
