Happy National Mustang Day!

The Ford Mustang was introduced on April 17th, 1964 at the Worlds Fair in New York. This iconic pony car has been in continuous production ever since. Now in its sixth generation.

Projected to sell 100,000 units the first year, the 1965 Ford Mustang far exceeded that with over 400,000 units sold. The 1965 Mustang became the most successful vehicle launch since the 1927 Model A.

The success of the Mustang launch would lead to multiple competitors from other American manufacturers.

Through its production, multiple nameplates have been associated with the Ford Mustang series, including GT, Mach 1, Boss 302/429, Cobra (separate from Shelby Cobra), and Bullitt, along with "5.0" fender badging.

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us for one of the most important days in Ford History. Loved around the Globe the Ford Mustang is a true American Icon that has endured the test of  time.

Special Thank you to the Indiana Mustang Club for inviting Inskeep Ford to host this event.

In addition thank you to the Indiana Mustang Club, Mustang Club of Indianapolis, 317-Mustang Syndicate, Southside Mustangs & Fast Ford/Indyvt, and Shady Performance for coming out and for helping to promote today's event. #fordmustang #NationalMustangDay.
