Ford Headquarters Turns Pink in Honor of Breast Cancer Awareness
Ford World Headquarters will shine brightly as a beacon of support for breast cancer warriors and survivors across the country on Thursday, Sept. 30, as the company officially marks the start of national Breast Cancer Awareness Month by illuminating the entire south side of WHQ in pink.
Over the past 16 years, Ford has dedicated more than U.S. $105 million to Susan G. Komen for the CureƂ®. Ford's Warriors in Pink is active year-round promoting awareness for breast cancer and raising money for the cause through the sale of apparel. A trailer will be on-site at Thursday's event for anyone who is interested in purchasing 2010 apparel, including hats, t-shirts, bandanas and ties. All of the net proceeds will go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
